\nLagos State Government on Monday, March 30 discharged five Covid-19 patients at Infectious Disease Centre, Yaba Mainland Hospital, which brings total number of discharged patients from the Centre to Eight.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe patients, who had been isolated for weeks, looked stable and healthy, while they expressed happiness and satisfaction over the treatment they received.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nWhile appreciating the State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his support and  proactiveness, the discharged patients, who all pleaded anonymity, added that health workers at the centre should be given life insurance.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nDuring an interview with newsmen, one of the patients said: <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\n\u201cI came in here on the 15th and after the test showed positive, I was asked to come back the next day. So, I was admitted here.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\u201cInitially, there were hitches but it later turned out fine. The health workers did fine, all our challenges were attended to. I\u2019m a living a witness together with my other colleagues.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can beat it. I want to assure others that this is not their resting place. Encourage yourselves, take your medications and in no distant time, you will get out of here.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\u201cI want to appeal to the Federal Government and Lagos State government that they should remunerate all those workers who have volunteered to work accordingly, so as to serve as encouragement to others, adding that, \u201cIf they are not here as first responders, many would have died.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nIn a similar situation, another patient who spoke with the newsmen said: <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\n\u201cI was admitted last Sunday. Initially there were challenges, but later overcame because the following day, they brought bed, mask and some other necessary equipments.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\u201cApart from what my colleague said, the workers should be insured. Proper insurance encourage people do what they have to do.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\nIt would be recalled that, Nigeria has recorded 111 positive cases, 1 death and has discharged 8 patients who have fully recovered.<\/p>\n
