\nThe Federal Government has revealed that, only few Nigerians abroad have indicated interest in returning home over the global coronavirus pandemic.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, disclosed this in Abuja yesterday at the sixth joint national briefing of the Presidential Taskforce Force on COVID-19.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nHe stated that, Nigerian embassies had been asked to forward the number of those who had indicated interest in returning to Nigeria.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nHe said,<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\u201cWe sent the letters (to the embassies) last week but we have not gotten many persons that want to return now. They are just few, not many; but we are still waiting to confirm their actual number.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\u201cHowever, experts had recommended against much travels to reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19. But if there are those that want to come back, we\u2019ll do everything within our means to bring them back.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\u201cSo, we are still waiting to confirm the entire number in the end. We\u2019ll then work out the logistics on how to bring them back.”<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
